Capillary arrays
Each array fits only its own model: 24-capillary arrays run only on the SeqStudio 24 Flex. The arrays carry RFID tags that record the lot, part number, expiry date and use, and the software reminds you when an array is expired or overused.

Polymer and buffers shared with the 3500
The manufacturer labels its POP polymer pouches, anode and cathode buffer containers and conditioning reagent “for 3500/SeqStudio Flex”, so one stock serves both instrument families. The 50 cm arrays are optimized for POP-7, POP-6 and POP-4 run modules.

Online regeneration of SeqStudio Flex arrays
When an array reaches its RFID limit but its capillaries still perform, you do not have to throw it away. We send a special washing liquid and a new RFID tag to replace the expired one; our engineer then regenerates the array with you in an online session, or your team follows our written protocol. Maintenance and service
Daily checks, polymer and buffer changes and calibrations follow the same logic as on the 3500 series: keep the consumables within their limits, watch for bubbles and leaks, and recalibrate after every array change. We carry out preventive maintenance, calibrations and repairs on site or remotely, and send a written report. See genetic analyzer service.
Frequently asked questions
Can I use a 3500 capillary array on a SeqStudio Flex?
No. SeqStudio Flex arrays are not interchangeable with 3500 arrays. Use A49104 or A49106 on the SeqStudio 8 Flex and A49105 or A49107 on the SeqStudio 24 Flex.
Can I use 3500 POP-7 pouches on a SeqStudio Flex?
Yes. The POP-7, POP-6 and POP-4 pouches, such as A26073, are labelled for both the 3500 and the SeqStudio Flex.
Does a 24-capillary array fit the SeqStudio 8 Flex?
No. The 24-capillary arrays run only on the SeqStudio 24 Flex, and the 8-capillary arrays only on the SeqStudio 8 Flex.
How many injections does a SeqStudio Flex array last?
The arrays are specified for 160 injections or until the expiry date printed on them, whichever comes first.
Can SeqStudio Flex arrays be regenerated?
Yes, through online regeneration. We send the washing liquid and a new RFID tag, and the array is regenerated in your lab with our engineer online or with our protocol.
What is the difference between the SeqStudio and the SeqStudio Flex?
The SeqStudio is a 4-capillary benchtop analyzer with an all-in-one cartridge. The SeqStudio Flex has 8 or 24 capillaries and uses separate arrays, polymer pouches and buffer containers, like the 3500.
